For anyone who read your comment and might like to know just a little about the Higgs, this is a good site for dummies:  http://www.sparknotes.com/mindhut/2013/10/08/faq-higgs-boson-for-dummies   Plus, they really should follow up on the comic book version at http://vimeo.com/41038445

Re: Nautikos

That's a great thing to be doing--reading book on subjects that are new to you, or reading new findings on subjects familiar.

TAPS

I love this post! Two wonderful ladies having the time of teir lives - what's not to like? My 'new' things these days involve mostly reading books about things I don't know (currently a new one on the Higgs)...

Re: Kabu

Yes, you get the prize.  Anyone else probably would have regretted it and flown back on the return flight.  (not meaning anything bad about WileyJohn, LOL)

yes there is always something new to try and I have just about filled my own Bucket list and more. Who flies across the World to meet and then marries a man they never met in person!!!! I would tell anyone else they were nuts for doing that.

Important it is to try new things.

Every time I think I've seen or done it all, something new comes along.

taps, have you heard of that South American psychotropic juice?
They have package deals tourists can sign up for. Calling it some kind of cleanse, but it is really a series of acid trips. I wouldn't do that now for the same reasons I wouldn't do it in the 60's. Fear.

That's all very true. However, one must be discerning when choosing that 'first time' thing! We have to take certain things into consideration! For example, I wouldn't necessarily recommend someone in their 80's or 90's going scuba diving, or someone who's deathly afraid of hights to jump out of an airplane! Perhaps we could keep it simple, like trying a dish at a restaurant that you've never ordered before . . .
