I have had trouble keeping my emotions in check since I was a teenager. Eventually I went for psychological help, over many years to survive, especially raising a family as a mechanic/salesman with PTSD and alcoholism. So don't be afraid to get pro help if you ever need it my friend, it changed my life around.

you and your father have developed a wonderful relationship. we can get irritated at those we love and continue to love them. and i think it is even more wonderful that you work with your father, my daughter in law worked for her father and as he grew older she took over more and more, they had a wonderful relationship too.
as far as getting frustrated when your father was gone and everything went wrong and you could not count on the employees to do their job, well it just caught up with you and you blew a valve. it happens, and time is the healer.....i am sure your father understood.

LOL...Don't be too hard on yourself...even Mr. perfect, our Wiley can lose it and get loud on occasion. I believe it is called being human. You and Dad both apologized and doesn't it make a difference to how you feel when that happens. My but you have grown up over the years and are such a nice guy!!

Perhaps you would have been more settled if your house had been yours at the time.
People who have this kind of mental disturbance some times break through with a so called religious experience. I think the mind is cleverer than we realize,it will try to support emotions in any way it can.

I think the best thing throughout all this is that you found out you and your Dad have an excellent relationship, which shows itself especially when things are difficult...

It was a learning process - and a tough one. We slowly discover that it is much better to sleep on things before making the decision.
