By all means - write what you feel like writing. And yes, I too think of many in this little Blogitville community as friends! If I didn't, I wouldn't be around any more either...

Jean it does not really matter, I would not say put it on Facebook. Of course there are things we never reveal. I once made a promise to God, but it was impossible to complete it, so it worried me at times. I guess I don't worry about too many things now, but it has not always been that way.Just say what you are comfortable with.

you go ahead darlin' and write exactly what you need to to help with healing. I know most of us have at some time or other and it just brings us all closer. One of the things I love about blogit is it isn't just open to the public so less likely to be read by anyone you don't trust.

Jean,

You have absolutely nothing to apologise for.  You have the right to do whatever feels right for you so long as it helps you to heal but doesn't cause you further pain.  Your story is not a remarkable one, perhaps, but it is worth telling.  God bless and be with you.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a 'secretive atmosphere,' other than perhaps you may have been 'sheltered' from certain outside influences. If that's the case, then you're obviously searching for certain answers, and you're looking in your family's history for them. That's probably the right thing to do. Hopefully, you'll find what you're looking for, and won't be 'bowled over' by anything you find. Stay diligent, and stay true to your word concerning forgiveness . . .
