Re:

Yes it is our Veteren's day, but we still have one minutes silence and a dawn service in November.

Re: All due respect to the brave boys (and girls) who served.

Pat, it was a stupid decoy and soooo many boys died but that was the first World War. One big pointless disaster.

There seems never to be an end to wars, to those who fight in them, to those who are wounded and die for their countries.  God bless our service men.

Gallipoli was a disaster, and an unnecessary one...One cannot help but feel for those poor boys and their families...

I was unaware of this day...Here it to hoping that there is a world without war.

I guess this is their version of Veteren's Day, which is very important. People sometimes take our fighting forces for granted, and don't realize that they have what they have because these brave men fought and died for it! Ironically, many, many moons ago, I knew of a baseball team that called themselves The Anzacs, but never understood where they got that from or what it meant! Now I do! Thanks . . .

All due respect to the brave boys (and girls) who served.

I saw a movie years ago that comes back any time I hear the name Anzac - or Gallipoli,
and I salute those veterans along with those in service now.
