Re: jimmy

silence is wonderful, but i go outside for silence and i guess the sounds outside are not as intrusive as those that people or machinery make.

Re: fsi,

how interesting that you like the sound of items being scanned, would never have guessed.  will have to think of some manmade sounds that i like.

Re: The first bird in the morning

ceil, lol, sometimes silence is music to the ears, i like the sound of a screen door slamming to, means someone has come to visit.

I'm not quite sure how this will be received, but right now, believe it or not, silence is music to my ears! I absolutely love being in a dark room, or in a secluded spot, and hearing absolutely nothing! I've had my share, and fill, of crowded, noisy venues, loud movies and concerts and boisterous people to last a lifetime! Just give me some peace & quiet now, thank you . . .

I find the sound of cicadas to be music to my ears. I remember when we had our seventeen year cicada back in 2004. The sound was a wonderful something. Other things that are music to my ears are birds twieeting, crickets chirping, and on the man-made front, I like the sound of items being scanned at grocery stores.

The first bird in the morning

followed by the dawn chorus of all the others...  And the last bird singing the anthem of the last of the day...  Crickets and frogs...  The front door opening and my son walking in... The silence following a day of barking, when the dog's guy comes home.
