good for you, the things we love doing should not become a business.  i raised bunnys and when i tried selling them it was terrible and i lost interest......and then i loved making dolls and when it turned into a business i worked so hard and long, i burned out.  keep the things you love doing seperate from making money. that is just my opinion.

Envy pouring through my pores - I don't have one iota of artistic sense!

The closest I ever came to a hobby was during the years i had to babysit my Alzheimer's dad.  It was at that time that my grandbabies were being born right and left and I took to making hand-sewn baby quilts for them with lots of embroidery on them.  It comforted and quieted my dad to watch me sit and sew.  I think it made him feel safe when he couldn't remember where he was, or who he was.

I know Pat I would so much like to have been able to draw, but I am hopeless. Once I collected everlasting flower petals and made new flowers from the ones I pulled apart .they looked quite nice stuck onto card, but I would not have the patience to do it now.

I like that, doing it for one's self. I think my rock painting is like that. i paint for me and gift the odd rock to special beloved friends. My writing too. I am thrilled to have Tom out there but for me, for my Grandchildren, for my friends.

It's fascinating how people make creative use of 'junk'. We had a wonderful example of that fairly close to where I live - Autohenge! I'll just give you the official blurb:

                                 AUTOHENGE

"Created a year prior to it's brother Carhenge in Nebraska, autohenge is a full scale replica of Britain's famed Stonehenge. Classified as "the finest rendition of stonehenge anywhere" by Professor Christopher Chippendale of Cambridge University, its photo graces the cover of his book, Visions of Stonehenge. Located on a grassy knoll, just north of Oshawa, Canada's automobile manufacturing center, Autohenge existed for five years and attracted tourists from around the world. Click the small images below to enlarge."

Unfortunately I can't get the picture in here...
