They keep telling us (nearly a week now) that tomorrow will be warm, but it never has made it above low thirties. Guess I should be thankful for that after all the sub-0 weather we had.

well my geranium is flowering in the window sill.It is several years old now. In Australia they live outside all year round. Sigh!!. and it has got as warm as -10 C up here and full sun...I just love how the birds will nag at a person until they get their handouts back. LOL.

Really Ciel I did not think nasturtiums would survive through winter, as they are such a soft growing plant I did notice some geraniums still standing in a trough, but I put them in the compost bin. My old Aunt used to grow them in her window they were four feet high and she used to feed them on tea, pretty weak tea to be sure.

We in Maryland are expecting a warm up this week to the sixties. Most, if not all, are welcoming it.

Until they refuse to cooperate, we forget the mechanical things suffer from prolonged cold - batteries lose their charge, engines struggle against sludgy oil. Today's okay if we have crochet thread or the stuff to make bread.
