Kabu

I am sure that was a very difficult job, but look at the blessings you brought to others. You are such a giving and precious woman.

Goodness that sounds nearly as bad as delivering paraffin in cold weather one and fourpence a gallon delivered and then some of the old biddies grumbled. I think on balance I prefer the cold only just though. Arthur has decided to cook some strawberries so we shall have to see what happens.

Sounds a like home, except for the bread run, too hot in the summer and too cold now.

Kabu

I could do without the bread run, but I wouldn't mind some stinking hot Aussie summer weather right now - the frozen daiquiries would make it bearable...

Given all the wintry weather we have been receiving, it is interesting to read of how another country is having deal with intense heat...The bread runs sound very interesting.

I know your bread runs were the highlight of the day for some of

those on your route. I remember we didn't have A/C in our house back in those days. I learned the best window for the window fan to circulate the air - at least we had shade trees on the south side of the house where the sun shone hottest. We finally got a couple of window units, but it's much better these days with the whole house system.
