I don't mind loving horrible people

I just don't want to be around them

Sometimes, we have to do something we are not willing to. That is the real world. Sigh.

Re:

Don't worry, Carolyn. I have no intensions of climbing onto any rooftop with a rifle! I don't want to kill anyone, and I certainly don't want to be killed either! All I was saying is that I'm beginning to understand what drives certain people to do such things! Yes, puppy kisses indeed . . .

jollyjeff, i just happened to have written your name down in my address book years ago when i used to blog here. you were writing greeting cards and selling them and i wrote your name down for inspiration. i bet you could write some real righteously judgmental greeting cards for some company -- especially those with HEART. and dog kisses to you and yours. thoughtful post. i think evil and good resides in all of us so don't go sniper riflin' anyone there, jimmya... though i know you're "just sayin'." we all need puppy kisses during times like these...

You're right JimmyA

I was being dishonest with myself in trying not to judge people. Letting myself judge and acknowledging that there are bad people in the world is honest and freeing

A very profound entry you have there, Jeff.

No matter what anyone says, thinks or does, we all judge, whether we mean to or not. You can't be human and not have some sense of judgement when you see or hear about the exploits of others, especially when those exploits affects the lives of others. The one thing that all those people you mentioned have in common is that they have a public platform of some kind to expouse their views and opinions, and it's almost unavoidable to not hear about them. Don't kid yourself, or play havoc with your emotions. You can feel any way you'd like toward another person, whether it's negative or positive, if what they do or say is upsetting to you, and don't worry about someone else judging you. Believe me, I'm not saying I condone it, but sometimes I do understand what drives a person to climb onto a rooftop with a sniper rifle . . .
