there is no right or wrong...just what feels right for you and if others don't agree that's their issue not yours...

Yes, Christmas time can be most stressful . . . if you allow it to be! As far as worrying about the 'perfect gift,' that too can become a bit of a pipe dream. That's why I've always relied on gift cards and gift certificates. Much, much easier . . .

well Ciel i just quickly walked along the road Saturday morning and gave my nearest neighbours a box of chocolates 7 boxes . I received I bottle of wine and a packet of chutney. They all seemed happy to receive a gift so I guess I have not annoyed them too much over the past year. Half the gifts folk receive are just pushed away so it is not worth worrying over the problem.

The very best gifts that one can give or receive is something they made themselves.  I was brought up that way and i have tried to live by it.  I'll never forget when my boys were in gradeschool I made four bathrobes for them out of material covered with space ships and aliens.  They were the ugliest things, and they just loved them.  LOL

Reading this entry puts things into perspective...Fortunately for me, I have been able to avoid feeling all the pressure during this time of the year.

Great Post. My Grandchildren get sooooo much and if Wiley and I went crazy we would spend all year trying to pay off the Bills. we are very laid back and enjoying ourselves.

SAME HERE

my kids and grandkids don't care one little bit if i can afford Christmas gifts or not. It goes the same for me. Don't waste the time or energy worrying about it.
