It is scary when one watches everything going up and infaltion somewhere, or the taxes increasing...all those sneaky ones; and one has a fixed income that they thought would be plenty of money. I have to pay off my last trip to Australia and then save for the next so that I can see family and mostly I do my dress shopping in my Sister's wardrobe when I get back there. Not what I was expecting.

My heart goes out to those who experience poverty.

Re: CCT,

We do, generally, want more, and all of the popular culture around us shows us the more we should be wanting, and getting. And those who do have, want more. Very frustrating and crazy-making, until one gets it sorted out in their head, what is enough, even plenty by their own standards.

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where the highest value is placed on the well-being of individuals instead of the greater profits of corporations? Where community is more important that profit.  The little time I got to spend in New Zealand, I noticed that in questions where profit vs community came up, where Americans almost always put profit first, New Zealanders tend to put people first, even if it costs extra.

The world we do live in has to see your insurance card before they will give you care in a hospital. Then the insurance co will deny your claim if they can.

Sorry, I am ranting... Truth is, I have a lot more than many people, and taking scarcity too seriously is a habit more than a necessity.  But it does make me crabby.

I think the reason is we want more out of life than we used too. Sadly most old

folk do not like spending money and live as if they have not got much. Well they won't give much away.

When they go into a nursing home bingo it melts like butter in the sun.

Perhaps you are too generous, or you work on things that are not very profitable.

For example a woman came and studied someone's dog she said she was a dog

psychiatrist it took an hour and she charged SIXTY pounds. Do you like toes

a chiropodist charges £25 per session. I am sure the training is simple.
