You are so right about their being a heavy focus about the New Year and not focusing enough on living in the now.

Christmas is rushed upon us
as a commercial exercise; the day after one election is settled, the candidates are gearing up for the next... Children are rushed towards sexual busy-ness from the time they are out of diapers, some of them, all dolled up for pageants... I think we could reclaim Time, and bring its pace back to something sane, just by turning off the TV.
