Jimmy..yes, I would certainly take compassion over pity....

I read somewhere once that the word "compassion" actually means to put oneself in the shoes of the other person...that's action,whereas pity is more emotion...

Yeah, I would think that people would appreciate the compassion more than the pity. Everyone needs a helping hand from time to time . . .
