It sounds like a peaceful time for you. Quietly getting ready for winter!

Yes, piece by piece, slowly but surely, my wife and I are also getting the outside prepared for its long winter's slumber. It hasn't gotten quite that cold down here ( yet ) but the "frost is on the pumpkins!" I hope Sir Wiley can rest easy, and is not disturbed by any "feline interlopers" . . .

My garden looks wonderful Archie has dug it all over. It makes me feel quite proud. He even picks up anything I leave lying around and puts all thorny bits in the green bin. Get yurself an Archie.

I taught our visiting crow population to go away when I clapped.  They got so good at it that I didn't even have to be by the door or window.  I guess their hearing is pretty good.  I haven't seen (or heard) any of them for quite a while.  But, now with windows and doors closed up tightly because of the cold, who knows what will happen.  They may become bullies again.

Kabu

Yeah, it's gettin' chilly here as well - all the smart birds are heading south, so what am I doing here?

It's getting cold here too. My garden looks the same. I miss it being alive and growing. Spring will come though and when it does our gardens will be beautiful once again.

That is what we did today, got the yard ready for the snowy season, planted iris and tulips. I am happy Wiley got some rest.

Such tender loving care you give those Gnomes.

They must be thriving under your care. And the crows, too.
