my friend had a barn out on her dad's hobby farm here in iowa. we used to feed her horses out there after school. i hated the barn swallows swooping down at us. i saw alfred hitchcock's movie the birds at a very young age and with numerous birds on our property it freaked me out about birds for many years to come. i'm over it now though and really like watching the birds that my neighbors feed. robins, sparrows, cardinals, gold finches and wood peckers to name a few.

I love old barns
I often wonder about their history and what one would find inside.

You have me thinking because even though I have never had a barn, I have always had farm relatives and there have been quite a few barns in the family. I like barns and their contents. My Granddaughter-in-Law paints pictures of barns. She has quite a collection of her paintings of different barns here in Missouri.
