It sounds like your depression

was caused by your thinking. Mine is caused by a chemical imbalance in my brain. Like you say it's all different

I'm glad to hear you have successfully adjusted your perception, that's not the easiest thing in the world to do but it is so worth it

FSI

One Day At A Time. I am happy you are getting some help with that. I spoke with a psychotherapist for 33 years or so,discovered I had PTSD from military service which started it all. Never give up the struggle with depression and you will find a happy smiling man inside you one day. God Bless you.

This post makes me so happy for you. Life is so precious, how good it is to read that you have found help with the depression. Thank you for sharing dear FSI. I have some anxiety and depression to fight each day, and I too have my ways of coping.

Depression seems to be a big part of life for a lot of people.  I am glad that you have worked through yours and have a good handle on dealing with it and making it through.

I don't think any of us can be human and not feel depressed from time to time. And the reasons and causes of that depression will always vary from person to person. I've gone through it myself, for my own reasons, but the specific incident that caused it is well behind me now. Yes, time is a great healer. Glad you feel that you're "over that hump" . . .

Yes many famous men have suffered from this problem.

I call it the Saber toothed tiger

syndrome. Once we were probably like wild animals

alert to all the possible dangers around.

The one's who were not soon got there comeuppance.

Now a few thousand years down the line,

sometimes that fear  which was a normal part

of early man's existence, manifests itself

and we are not prepared to run or even fight.

So we imagine our fears and probably imagine nonexistence.

This might have easily happened, but we are better off than the tiger remember that.

FSI

Glad you're feeling better! As someone who's no stranger to depression, I know how much work can be of benefit...

I am so happy to know that you are feeling better, I know what it is like to fight something others who are not afflicted, do not understand, it would be a good subject to blog about.

FS,

I am so happy to hear that you are in a good place.  Depression can be challenging.  You are a blessing to all of us.  I wish you all the best, my friend.

glad you are doing better and continue to improve, I can relate so well to this.  There has been times that I thought about driving my car off a cliff but I dont have the courage to do so.  I fight it off and on and try to not let it get me down.
