What a wonderful tribute to your parents! Perhaps you should send them a copy of this post.
My father raised me in much the same way your parents raised you. I was especially reminded of him when you said your parents would always admit when they were wrong. My dad always did the same with me, and it always meant to world to me that he respected me enough to apologise.
Kudos to your parents!
