i have had people from microsoft call me to help me and yes they do take down the number and call back if disconnected...now whether that was your situation or not i don't know

Got the same call. It is a scam for sure. You did well to hang up on him. I asked him if his soul was saved, and he hung up on me.

It is definitely a scam....Wiley got this too and being himself he rang Microsoft and they said to him they NEVER ring and tell you there is a problem with your computer and that they will fix it with you. They put a problem into your computer while you trust them and then want to charge you to remove it.
They are not microsoft...Wiley did report them...Tell them that from Canada you do only ever speak to Wiley and Kabu. LOL...that will teach 'em!!
