What a wonderful post.  I love that woman and I didn't even know her.  Your writing makes her live for everyone who reads it.

You were to her the mother she didn't have

You showed her one of the most treasured and valued characteristics of a human being;  that of having ubuntu, loosely translated as  the capacity to be humane. The word 'compassionate' is the closest English word to capture the essence of this African cultural concept.

That is terribly sad. I really hate reading of such things, but we all know that death is a part of life. Kudos to you and George for being there with her, and keeping her memory alive . . .

You have been a blessing in many lives, including mine. I feel your sadness and I know you know that Sarah is with those she loves and with those who love her. It is so wonderful in times like these to know of God's plan of happiness. My prayers are with you, now and always.

So sorry, Justi. But yes, remember where she is now, and know that your and George's love made her happier while she was here.

I am sad that you lost someone that loved you so and that you loved so much. Yes I am sure that whatever heaven is she will be running around there. You gave her some very special comfort and improved her life for sure. What a lovely lady you are.
