TAPS

It would be good for others to have similar chances but better if people would do better the first time.

I wholeheartedly agree.  I cannot get that across to people in my circle.

Interesting post.  Interesting comments.  I now and then watch Martha Stewart cooking and think about those things which happened to her.

Well my thoughts would be if you are going to break the rules make sure you will not be caught, think hard about it first. You will not receive sympathy and it is not a decision to take lightly. I am sure most of us have edged past that situation but have had the good sense to pull back in time.

A loaded question indeed! Perhaps more prominent people need to be made examples of when they fall from grace through dishonesty. As far as breaking the rules and then possibly learning from those mistakes, I think it would depend on who they were directed at. A child is still learning . . . an adult should already know better!

Re: LostInLife

Children have the power to do as they wish, have no quams about making mole hills into mountains for their own benefit and the authorities can get caught in a bad spot - I will pray for your brother today.

Rewarding bad behavior is very confusing.  It is backward, wrong, and stupid to do such but many do that and I will never understand it! I went to see my brother in prison today.  He refused to reward the bad behavior of his daughters, especially the youngest one.  His wife took away his authority early in the marriage.  She gave it to her daughters by making them the Mom of the house. The last one became the Dad and Mom of the house. To this day my brother always said that he would not reward bad behavior.  He is now punished for trying to maintain order in his house and use the authority the law grants HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD.

You are so right. That is one of the reasons I am so glad to be a part. I am trustworthy and honest in all areas of my life and for a long timto due to my Dad felt that the family and friends around me were the same.  I was taught many lessons that I did not learn in school.

Crazy, what about thinking about Morality and taking care of others. The law basically says to take care of your neighbour in all situations...and who is your neighbour....so how can you break Rules if you are supposed to think of others...
