Oh and yes Chiff Chaff the red stuff is cedar chips that break down

over time and mulch around nicely. I have shredded paper and good nutritious dirt mixed together beneath the cedar chips. After a year or two woth fall leaves mixed as well I can grow more garden in those areas and cover with more chips again.
