Kabu

This is a lovely post. Don't we all get fed up with the status quo and want to fly to another place feeling it is better until we take another look. I hope your Wiley is all better in a few days. When both of you get fed up come to our neck of the woods. Love you and it is your right to have a hissy fit occasionally.

Kabu

This morning I thought of waht a dodo bird would look like, walking on the sidewalk in an urban New Jersey town love. I thought people might scream. It rained a little here. But you thought of brown snakes, etc. I'm ready for tomorrow love. BC-A, Bill's Roost

LOL  I think we all have one of those Hissie Fits from time to time..Good thing you decided not to go back to Australia to live!  They have allot of deadly little creatures there!  lol

Beautiful flowers and these bug pests are really getting started here.

We all get to that point from time to time, especially when something is bugging us...Like hordes of blood suckers.

I get that way about this place, too many bees and wasps for my taste, we dont have many flies and no fleas, the heat is more than I like and the cold is too cold for me, but I will survive

Understandable, but calmer thinking and counting one's blessings can save the day.  I doubt technology is advanced enough to beam your household to Australia just yet.  If you can tolerate it, garlic or garlic pills might help, probably along with the spray when they are that bad.  We have a potentially deadly problem with mosquitos here; this is a good reminder for me to get the garlic out and learn to bake cloves. Hope Wiley is better and up and going soon.

Glad you've calmed down a bit, and have come to the realization that the grass isn't always greener! There are probably pros & cons to living anywhere, so I'm glad you've come to the conclusion that you're probably better off staying right where you are! Besides, the Aboriginal gnomes probably don't like intruders anyway . . .

One always has to have a time to rant & rave and then reflect back as you did. The blessings start coming to "mind" after all is said and done!    The flowers are beautiful and can bring such peace when cut and shared!!  Thanks for sharing them.

I don't care much for roaches either. or down in Florida

those giant flying ones they call Palmetto bugs. Alligators. Bufo frogs that will kill a dog if it happens to try to take a bite out of one. We had timber rattlesnakes in the Cascade foothills, but no poisonous spiders, but sadly no red cardinals or fireflies. Bitter with the sweet everywhere I guess.

You are right - nowhere is perfect but it's still ok to be frustrated sometimes (although you have put me right off Australia for now - how does anyone survive there?)

WELL Kabu i guess there are nasties everywhere we have midgies but they don't trouble me much. Horse flies can give a nasty poke, but I haven't seen one for a long time. Puddles can splash and dirty one's shoes and that wretched sun when it finally appears can feel quite hot on one's doorstep. That does sound like a wretched fly yummy it thought. Be careful

Like you I had times where I wanted to move from the area I live in but realized that I have it made here...Fortunately, the mosquitos don't like my blood.
