Yes it is sad....I remember the uncle of my ex being placed in a home. He died within a year due to poor care from the facility....People can only be pushed so far on both sides....I wonder how quick the government would in changing these laws if not only their family members but they themselves were subject to the same treatment.

Good post and as I start to slow up and realize that I am getting older
it is scary what might happen in the future.
