It's an old routine to them - this new-to-you and stressful thing.

Don't worry, they won't let their bread-and-butter deal slip away. Take a deep breath and give yourself one day to assume it's all going as it should. Then you'll be at your best when you check with them on Monday.

All the trouble you are having with this made that old saying pop into my head, "Never a borrower or a lender be."  But, how can one not be.  No one has cash for a house.  Well, at least no one I know.
