oh my...3.2 cents a gallon...

Such a bargain...our prices here in Canada are closer to what they pay in Europe although right now at $1.18 a litre, we consider that a bargain...

Re: cc

if i complain about gas prices in front of my son, he says to me you would not complain if you knew what they pay for gas in europe.  so i thought about that and i really dont complain anymore, i just dont understand why europe has to pay so much when you all are closer to the source.

my mortage is on a house we built back in 1980, this will be the 3rd mortage we have had on it.  but it will enable us to keep it till we die.  it seems to me prices of houses in this area have gone down.  you can buy a really nice house for around 100K.  since i live in the country land is inexpensive.

Re: mia

the only way i was going to get excited is if someone was hurt. or if she had run over her dog.

Well JS I have just worked it out especially for you and if I went and bought a gallon of petrol and had to pay in dollars it would cost me $13. We hardly come away from the petrol station singing these days or wondering about a mortgage. Your houses are so cheap in comparison to ours, but of course it is the land that costs the earth. A mediocre

plot next to some terraced houses 170K. Yes that is thousands, I don't think it has been sold though.

you sound like me when it comes to getting my hair cut, I want it short so I dont have to get a cut for about 6 weeks but my hair grows fast and I am lucky to make it for 4 weeks

Your day reads like an episode of a sitcom - one of those where

everything bad happens for comic effect. And you came out smiling. Way to go!!!

Wow, you are an upbeat person, aren't you? You get your car smashed into and get a less-than-satisfactory hair cut, and yet you still find the universe beautiful! More people should have your positive attitude . . .
