I think we all need to be a lot more careful with our finances FSI. People think that because I receive SSI I don't have to worry about money, but that's just not so.

I think it takes that first rough period for perople to realise that they can happen, it's then we either grow into the business or we watch it fold

I am a conservative, too! I think you were right not to say anything to your Dad and let it work itself out as it seemed to in this case! It's always good to save for a rainy day and no pun intended here! sam
