That's maturity looking back and realizing that...some never realize it...kudos to you and hope you convey these thoughts to your mom....being a mom i know it would mean a lot to her...happy thanksgiving

Thank you all very much for your input.  I hadn't really thought to share it with my mom, but I will :) JimmyA, I like that saying, I've heard something similar, but I think that one nails it.

does Mom know how you feel now? This is such a positive post I have

that lump in my throat and tear in my eye. Maybe you had hormonal problems ....I certainly did......to cope with as well it is tough being a teenager but how wonderful you grew. I feel very privileged that you shared this with us.

I understand completely. Here's a quote I heard that I'd like to share, maybe it will help . . . "Dwell on the past . . . and you rob the present. Forget the past . . . and you rob the future." Make any sense?

At times I have dwelled on the past as well. Like you, I have come to see the importance of the here and now.
