I'm glad you got that sorted and I found this Q 10 seems to have helped me now, I'm not falling quite as often. Loved your poem and bringin' momma. LOL

Re: Aww!

Thank you RFW. I suppose in the old days boys as young as fifteen were enrolled as drummer boys or taken on fighting ships, in a way it is a similiar process, poor Mum has to worry and the lad is too excited to be aware. I suppose it has happened since time began. It is a burden for mothers to carry. Unfotunately life is not fair. Yes I have sussed out most things and I think this is a neccessary evil, I can stand the pain ,but it is so tiring.

Re: falling is no fun...my dear friend in Sydney ...(over 80) fell in the

If I get a cane it will have a spike in the end Kabu, anyway I am usually carrying two buckets of water when I trip over. I had been free of that complaint for ten years. I have tried most things vibrators well you know what I mean ultersonic and sonic implements Aspro gives temp relief. It was slowly getting worse, I could put up with it but Arthur kept moaning and it began to affect my hands so when the devil bites one has to kick him up the ass. Otherwise things are hunky dory as we say down under,

Re: Sometimes the balance can be improved with a new pair of shoes,

Yes many walk around in high heels Pat and our pavements are uneven a times. I don't think there are many cures for Polmyalgia there may be relief for similar maladies. Asprin  appears to be as good as any but is frowned on quite a bit.

Re:

Isaiah  thank you I have had steriods 10 years since for this complaint and if they give me a quick relief from pain for another 10 I'll be OK .

Re:

Tried most things adnohr, I hate them , the doctor said the alternative ones are worse, she did not pressure me to take them and said if they gave me a bad reaction to go back for a rethink. I am pretty sure it is polymyalgia very difficult to diagnose, as so many have relative illnesses most folk as they age feel stiff one has only got to peruse the catalogues that arrive if one buys a pain relief.

Well Naut I have tripped or stumbled a couple of times fortunately on a grassy surface, mainly wearing poor shoe protection being too lazy to lace up some decent gardening boots. I must take my advice more seriously, those two may make it yet. She calls him 'Dirt'

Re:

Well chronic pain is tiring Jay and they seem to be working already your sister should lock the door and give friends a key, it is a rather unwise situation she is putting herself in. I suppose she really needs one of those alarms that are worn around the neck, but will they listen.

Well some girls like a chaperon Shobana in a way it may have been a good thing , of course sometimes the chaperone's ended up holding the baby.

LOL, oh that last line would definitely put "she" off CC. And I hope the steroids work and that you are all recovered soon.

My sister falls all the time, the problem is that she locks her doors so tight no one can get in to get her up, but yes, by all means find something soft. I  've had the steroids, don't like them, but there not to bad...Especially if they work.

Yep, falling can be a pain in the a**, literally, and you might even and up with a pin in the shoulder, as I almost did, LOL...And I love that dialogue - those two have an interesting history and a possibly even more interesting future...

Haha - your poems always seem to end with a surprise! This one made me laugh out loud. Hmm yes - I'm more into natural products myself too. Are steriods her only answer?

Hi CCT.

Yes steroids are maybe a bit extreme, but more than likely worth the trouble.

As for "She & He", isn't the battle of the sexes something to think about? Nice poetry.

Sometimes the balance can be improved with a new pair of shoes,

one where the heel is wide and doesn't tip or roll. It's not always such a complicated deal or chemical imbalance, just simple mechanics. Also, Vit. D seemed to help my sense of balance a bit - it makes calcium bond to the bones better. Could be the placebo effect I suppose.

Loved the little dialog, esp. the last line. I could see it playing out as the two make their way through the aisles of a shop. :)

falling is no fun...my dear friend in Sydney ...(over 80) fell in the

middle of the highway she was trying to cross and thought that she would get run over. She has polymyalgia...comes and goes and is back again. anyway she survived the fall but now uses a stick. Now don't scream.....a "cane" dear sir can be very sophisticated and next time the She in that poem will not let you get away!!! Besides, you can poke people who are annoying you, out of the way.

I walk mighty carefully when I have to walk on ice.
I always use the handrail now when I go up or down the stairs.
Last time I fell, I hurt for an awfully long time.

Oh yes, the key is to fall onto something soft...I wonder how Mum is going to fit into the equation.

Aww!

Hey CCt, Lol, you always put a smile on my face! I'm sorry to hear of your ailment, but you seem to be handling it well and with great humor. With your computer savvy, have you ever thought about looking into any homeopathic remedies for joint stiffness and pain? I mean steroids are a pretty harsh way to go, sometimes the side effects are worse than the ailment, just a thought.

I love your poem, sounds like a convo me and the hubby would have. Lol, many times!  Anyhow, good write my friend and again thanks for the early morning smile. I needed it, I'm a nervous wreck as I let my 15 yr old, whom is very innocent and naieve(spelling ?) skip school with a couple of the boys from his football team to go to san francisco for the world series victory parade. Reportedly there's going to be over a million ppl there and I keep thinking of all the hustlers, pedophiles, and rowdy drunks that will be lurking in the crowd. So your post lightend my mood, at least for the moment. I think I'll blog about it this morning and get others feedback. Gotta keep busy.

Have a wonderful day CCT and good luck with your stiff joints.
