I personally believe, regardless of people's actual religion, that if everyone just followed the "Golden Rule," we'd be far more better off!

I believe in respecting all religions no matter what they believe in.

dang computers...I 'll try again...Can't comment on local politic but can

say that the same problems are felt in Australia. I don't believe that religion and politics should be mixed....I wouldn't like either the Pope or the Imrahor Ayatollah controlling the politics of my country. however and also as an individual who was brought up being told all them years ago that Australia is a Christian country and being shown maps at school of the parts of the World that were predominated by the different religions......well one was brain washed I expect; and those early learnings are difficult to throw, even though times have changed.

Lo Ray I do not think religion should be mention in politics. I suppose I am like a good many these days believe in God and hope there is one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

There are so many Americans that simply assume that everyone in this country is or should hew to the Christian paradigm! Who have no comprehension of the power of keeping religion separate from government.

Some American asked Gandhi what he thought of the separation of church and state, and he said, (I paraphrase) "I think it's a great idea!  You should try it."
