Stories such as these are actually not all that uncommon, but unsettling nonetheless. I can't honestly say with any great certainty if I actually believe them or not. People can have overactive imaginations, and simple accounts and activities can be overblown. Just the same, I'll check my attic, and if I see any three-foot tall dolls wearing sailor outfits . . .  By the way, I hope you enjoyed your trip all the same, and glad you were able to stay ahead of Sandy!
