Re: Re:.Kabu

at 300 pounds a week!!! I just love over grown blackberry bushes and lots of stinging nettles and tall grass to roll around in...well rolling around in the grass is OK except I find it harder and harder to get back upright!! That price is crazy and no wonder people are out of work. Whatever happened to kids earning a few dollars for pocket money by doing a bit of gardening for the neighbours.

It can be tough keeping up on Blogit...Young love can feel so rough on a person. If we only knew...

Fourteen and maybe first love - well you have delved into what every girl would dream of as "her guy". Thanks for stopping by my blog CC and I am the one in blue

I wonder if the devil pees on cherries too as the ones we got had little maggot like worms in them. I didn't notice until I ate about a half pound of them. I thought they were rather filling at the time.

Re:

Well you seem to do alright Taps. People were very supersitious 100 years ago. My Mum would not walk up the same road where a coffin had passed when she was a girl.

Re: adnohr

Old folk lore Adnohr, anyway raspberries are no different. No I didn't think you were much into gardening, it was national hobby here, but it is being taking over by cement slabs and gravel as folk realise you don't get owt for nowt. I bet Abigail is a right old tartar.

Re: I remember at 14 the grownups said treasure this, it's the happiest

Yes Pat , but I have been confused all my life, perhaps the happiest time is when one wants to keep going a bit longer and can laugh at adversity.

Re:.Kabu

Well Kabu I just don't mind if can keep the grass down, Archie's cousin used to do the mowing but he has to look after his wife who is pretty sick at the moment so I am waiting now to see what next year brings. To keep it all spic and span would cost 300 pounds a week at a rough estimate.15 pounds an hour I should cocoa.

ReST.

Yes  ST but I only have to make one comment and I still have to earn a living.

The poem and the prose can be two different blogs.

It's great reading them both. But we have then the scope to comment on each more easily

CCT

One can never start too early practising the art of pleasing a woman, LOL...And blackberries are my favourites! Since I don't belive in the devil, he won't pee on mine...

Just the very fact you had a "love" at 14 was endearing....

Ah the pain of young love so well expressed throughout your poem.

It's tough when you can't get help when you need it. I am sure your graden is still lovely but You need a bit of regular younger help me thinks.

I remember at 14 the grownups said treasure this, it's the happiest

time of your life. Wish I could find one of them now - they were wrong. Fourteen is very confused and stressful, with so many conflicting expectations, no clear idea of which path to take. Maybe some are sure and cool...

LOL - but more romantic a thought with the devil than for the maggots...ugh! A tangled garden has its own charms though, CCT; it looks more natural than groomed. Animals love it. And of course I can say that cause I have no sort of garden at all. Abigail sounds like she knew exactly what she wanted...and how to get it!

I've never heard that saying before.
I surely wouldn't want to eat anything that was peed on by the devil.
I'm not doing too good at keeping up with comments also, or writing new posts, or....
