CRomney seems to be the type of candidate that voters will not like by the end of his first year. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

It is always tough being in government, people usually remember you for the bad things.

Well they do over here.

I am curious as to what the polls will show after the Biden/Ryan debate.

I got a cold chill in the year 2000 election, thinking what could happen

if GWB should get elected. The dreamers and do-gooders wanted the green party in power, just enough of them voted to give the gentleman from Texas a shot at it. And with the help of the Supremes, my fears became reality. We all know what happened: lies, war, corruption, the Wall Street ripoff,  bank failures, wholesale real estate crash and a spectacular budgetary dive from surplus to extreme deficit. Reality was worse than anything I'd imagined.

Today that chill is running down my spine again, colder this time. Mitt - if I read him correctly - will see to it that education in the public shools is dumbed down further, if Johnny can't read, he certainly won't get the fine print. He thinks America's role as the world's cop should grow, that we should, teach Iran a lesson, that the military-industrial complex should continue to bleed the budget, (good place for those young Johnnies - on the front lines). There's so much more. I'm not chilled. I'm afraid.

I tend to agree with Plato most of the time - one of the most important qualifications for ruling is to not want the job.  Some politicians do seem worse than others though
