Re: Well, it is locked up and we don't really have choice in elections anymore

Katray2, Nader is one person I listen to, he has street cred.

FSI, you appreciate the global view.  Not everyone does.  Whatever happens here, the entire world will react to.  Thanks for the visit.

Well, it is locked up and we don't really have choice in elections anymore

Ralph Nader writes about the behind the scenes agreements between Repub.'s and Dem.'s that avoid probing or delving too deeply into the realities of government (how the tax system always has favored and continues to highly favor the wealthy, no matter the cost; the true excesses of the military-industrial complex, the out of control lobbying industry, on and on) and that keep either candidate from debating anyone else who is in the running - he was prevented from joining a presidential debate even though he had followed all the rules - democracy at it's finest! Last night was a show to me and not very entertaining - Romney a little less plastic but still sounding forced and insincere when talking about his concern for the middle class and the poor, Obama lethargic and almost disinterested.

It truly is complex on the world and home fronts.

Two guys shook hands. They took turns saying things,

each just waiting to put in their 2-cents' worth, but I heard nothing new, nothing big from either gentleman. This was not exactly a knife fight, nobody was left bleeding. And I've deliberately not listened to the pundits about what I should have noticed. I doubt many minds were changed, but I could be wrong.

Now that it's over and I've slept on it,

I can't remember a single memorable line that would decide me one way or another, by either gentleman. I did see two guys shake hands before and after, did see the wheels turning as each listened to the other and got ready for a response. But it was no knife fight, nobody was left bleeding at the end. I've been careful not to turn on the news to hear what the pundits made of that encounter.

ZBriefly I put on the debate. It sounded like the debates in the last presidential election. The names were changed. A few other changes still made me wonder about the economic knowledge of the candidates.BC-A, Bill’s R®st

I think it is about likeability too - votes swinging on the most favored. Thank you for stopping by my blog dsm and Welcome Back!! Good to see you.

Likeability is there on both sides.

I think all the questions have been answered. He dosn't seem to be the man the main stream media has been showing us does he. But the sad thing is that most of what they show us is bunk. Makes one wonder what they have been missing...Truth?

I expect Gov. Romney will demonstrate his mind-set

as a member of the 1%, as a corporate raider who's sent American jobs overseas along with the factories in which they worked. He had U.S. workers tear down the buildings and dismantle the manufacturing equipment, load them on ships and send them overseas. I don't think he understands the rest of us, that he has any idea what we really need. I don't believe he thinks he's one of us.
