the poem, by the way, was written long ago...
long before I ever thought about becoming Catholic. I think it was true then and is still true now. Jesus Christ - and his death, resurrection, and second coming are central to the beliefs of us all.

archiew---a lot of people don't really knwo hwo wealthy the Roman Catholic
church really is. They lost over $ 1 billion dollars in a land fraud scheme some 20 years ago and didn't even flinch. Could they put some of the money they put into gaudy churches to better use?...for them ,why start now?

I do enjoy reading you, Unicorn, but...
Catholics are the original Christians. I know kind of where you're coming from, though. I grew up in and spend most of my life in a denomination that sort of taught that about Catholics. I think you would be surprised, as I was, when visiting a Catholic church.

my vote
the religion outside of Christians that has the gaudiest is Mormons. Catholics aren't usually considered to be in the category of Christian anyway.
