Re:

Lol, you're so right CCT and you just don'tknow...I bite my tongue so many times it bleeds, it's gotten better over the years though, but in the beginning, it was rough. I'm so glad my husband is understanding and doesn't pay too much attention to my rantings. Thank you for your visit and comment.

Well it is not really surprising you were not ever able to experience the usual bonding between mother and daughter and it went on from there. You have done remarkably well   really and I am sure you can overcome such an emotion, we all feel jealous at times, but it passes, best plan is to say nothing, rather than destroy everything.

Re:

Thank you FS. I'm glad you agree with the sentiment in this piece. It's a hard thing to get over, even if it is a wasted emotion. I appreciate your time and comment

I agree with Annicita, trust trumps jealousy. However the poem is a worthy work and I enjoyed the read.

i have had several discussions over the past few years with friends in the middle east.  It is considered flattering and sign of love to show jealousy.  I tell them it's a pointless emotion and the best thing to do is trust.

You describe it well as being a "wasted emotion."
