Tremendous!! Reality really is stranger than fiction! Near where I live and I read about it here! They probably do not want to admit to it.

oops, got arrested with an anti-nuke group down at the Intrepid museum, but she's in another league entirely. And here we were, wondering what the nuns would do now that the nun-run parish grammar schools are a thing of the past! They're making their own headlines.

about her - the James Bond stuff, the wearing of black, and the surprise ending all came to me as I wrote. People like that are our consciences, reminding us of things we shouldn't forget.

Re: CC, she didn't say. A remarkable person! She's been arrested about 40
times, jailed for 6 months, missionaried in Nigeria and Ghana, holds biology degrees from Villanova and Boston College! Her father taught obstetrics at NYU, and her mother did a doctoral dissertation at Columbia on Catholc views about slavery. In favor of racial intermarriage, her mother once said, "I just can't wait until everybody in the world is tan!"
Apart from that, she's a great example of the spirit of American nuns these days - concerned and respectfully independent of Vatican domination.
