It is interesting how Lord Tennyson terms it as "idle tears". He had a lovely way of describing his sadness. Loved the poem and your write abanerjee. Hope all is well with you.

I sat here for awhile not thinking about Tennyson as much as what you
have written about our youthful days. Those happy days cocooned by parental love, Such protected little girls that we were. A great write again dear friend.
