Well we have ivy Marrise and we don't need Kudzu. Quite an interesting poem ,well done.

You put the stuff to wonderful metaphorical uses! - kudzu-covered people is a very suggestive concept!

I've had some experience with it in the past.  I used to try to get rid of it with the weed-whacker but it would come right back.  I would keep it to the edge of our property pretty good, but the city did not do its part on adjoining land.  It would grow up the telephone poles and creep along the power lines overhead.
