Re: TAPS

True.  It is always hard to let go of expectations, especially if it's for something you had been looking forward to...

Re: BC-A

I confess to missing summer this year - we had only a week of sunshine and that is not enough for me!

Re: C_C_T

That is my hope; once the Olympics and the tourist season have ended summer will return for a little while (at least long enough to help me crop the tomatoes anyway)

Humidy isn't too much fun...  don't mind 19c it's the constant rain and cloud that I take issue with

JExcellent. Here in the Middle Atlantic States I’ve noticed a stronger wind in the heat. Maybe autumn’s moving in on summer. But summer’s still here. And signs of fall remind us of next month. I see back to school displays with colorful leaves in the store window. And then there are the first fallen leaves. I wa silly buy I would name it Leafy each August. This would occur on the way to pick raspberries with my father. So this is a relevant poem for August. BC-A, Bill’s R®st
