You have a vivid memory of these images, I have experienced these memories of the departed too as if they were still here.  Interesting shopping list, had to try the sardines myself, and start getting them some, since they are considered a super health food.

Re: Taps

Sounds great to me have what you enjoy, I like sunflower seeds and all nuts but am a bit wary of cracking fillings.

This poem is definitely a keeper.  I'm going to save it to my special places and I hope that you do not mind if I share it with two of my Sisters, because I am going to share it with them whether you care or not.  LOL

I love your shopping list.  LOL.  Great.  Isn't it fun how that when one reaches a certain age they can pretty much eat things that would scare someone else away.  For instance, I am sitting here eating my lunch at the computer while I am writing.  I have one little half-cup bowl of "hummous" that I made from edamame and green stuffed olives along with proper hummous seasonings and the other half-cup bowl is "babaganoush" that I made from roasted eggplant, spinach and sunflower seeds.  And, of course, I have my cup of hot coffee.  I have a little bowl of red raspberries waiting me for dessert.

That is quite the grocery list there. I like the purpose for the non-alcoholic beer....Also, another amazing poem you got there.

Re: BC

Oh we use an old army trick run a lighted over the little blighters, In the first World War when home on leave we had to do this to kill the lice they usually got in the seams of  the old shirt. You see young un it was a job to get the clobber dry and it was always caked with mud .
