This is poignant: When you are with a student, do not close the door. sam

I had no idea that a greeting could be so elaborate!  I have never been out of the US, I would have a lot to learn.

Uh-oh. I'd have very quickly been branded an offending nincompoop! For sure I would forget and get totally mixed up, to both men and women, scandalizing all equally!

Re: Oh that is more far more confusing than when i used to spend time in Greece

He...he...thanks Kabu for reading my blog and for the comments.  It's perplexing itsn't it??

Oh that is more far more confusing than when i used to spend time in Greece

where you air kiss the cheeks right left right. holding both hands and greeting as you do. women and men can greet this way but never a kiss that touches the cheek or just two...must be three. two kisses are reserved for one's children or such. a woman may extend her hand and the man will air kiss it. .......Uh Huh...so any ways to offend another society.

Oh and the Pacific island people will not look you in the eye when you talk to them if you are their boss at work or they believe that you are due respect. I find that very difficult as i always look into people's eyes when i am talking with them.

Dear me, sorry I have nearly written a post here.
