I saw some post on here that gave me pause: you can't possibly hate the man that much! My response to that is I love my country that much. Another one was do we think everybody does not watch the news. I watch all the news channels some part of the day and can tell you some of the very liberal news channels do not even carry all the news and they spatter it with such vitriol. I can see reason in leaving this comment. This wonderful country cannot survive another four years of this presidency! I am not being bitter, party or die mode, or digging up dirt, I am stating what I know to be true from having been around and voted both parties and been an avid participant in my country's action for 76 years with ancestors here who go back farther than the declaration of independence. We are in trouble.

I must say I'm not wild about Obama, but I do respect the Presidency and know that I certainly would not want that job. Besides, if we want things changed, then EVERYONE needs to get out and vote at every election, local and on up.

Spoken from the heart but I agree with the other commenters...
TAPS especially has me thinking. I may just go back to expressing my angst at the shape our country and world is in via poetry..because I am grasping that writing reams of political opinion can seem rather haughty, narrow and boring to the readers after awhile; instead of being constantly enlightening and interesting; speaking for myself here. But sometimes the emotions do need expression. Well, that said, my dying wish is for peace to triumph for everyone!

Great post....until that last comment. I get so tired of political stuff. It's like people think another adult doesn't see the news and can't make up their minds for themselves. I stay pretty much away from posts I know are going to be politically inclined, but just when I am enjoying something, the otherstuff shows its face.
