I am so thankful that the only person that matters in all this is safely
back in the hospital where I pray he can get that donation to save his life. The father's actions are almost believable but the Grandmother instead of being an influence for reason put the child at terrible risk. That is most odd.

Clearly this little kid is the victim of his parents' passions, but it's possible that they both act with 'good intentions'. If so, it would be a prime example for the fact that good intentions can often have very bad consequences...

It is a job to understand the rationale, trying to account for some folks motives. I am sure they have it worked out in their minds and proceed without any thought of the consequences, but then perhaps we all do it sometimes, like baiting a mousetrap.
