It is sometimes hard, and probably disappointing, to remember that they are actors; not the character we have lived through on screen for years. I can remember George Clooney saying something about not even knowing how to take someone's temperature, but people would ask him doctor-related questions because of his acting on ER.

I'd enjoy that. Not quite geek enough to go in costume, but it
would be fun. One reason I like "Big Bang Theory" is the occasional guest appearance by actors from old Star Trek appearing in cameo as themselves. I might buy a book of his poetry if I could get Leonard Nimoy's autograph...
