So good to read you again! May I make a suggestion to you here? If you have even the slightest concern about your past issue, simply contact this lady and be up front and honest with her about it. That way, the worry won't haunt you during and after the background check.
I realise that it may cost you this job, but I have a feeling it won't! Just a thought!

BEL nothing is ever going to run smoothly. As you say this is what you would love to do.
