I am sorry to read of your losses luv, and I do understand. I did manage to hang onto my tiny portfolio because I left it with the bank and told them I was averse to high risk. So everything worked out, and so I have the joy of love and marriage with Kabu, and a lovly wee home to share. You are an exceptional writer and I enjoyed every bit of that post. So carry on collecting jewelry and things and enjoy life to the nth degree.

I wish you hadn't mentioned 2008...LOL...And I had another one of those events in May of last year, the result more of my own doing than that of the market in general! But I'm still in there, hoping that everything that goes down must eventually go up, and not necessarily in smoke, LOL...

When it comes to stuff, I like watches, and I have a few, but not much of the other kind of bling. I like boats and cars cars too, and there are some cars that actually go up in value, though boats never do. I wish I had bought a Ferrari Testa Rossa many years ago...

You're a Gal after my own heart. I lost most everything as well but

I don't mind. I like staying home and writing and being with my Wiley. I collect too, things that I love to have around me.

If money burns a hole in one's pocket...

Then I am trying to reduce a terrible fire hazard, close to some other jewels, if you get my drift.
