Re: A different kind of Presidential poll
Thank you, all, for your responses. Except for the references to Obama and the Democratic and Republican parties, the poll is general enough to be used in any country with a two-party system. It was intended more of a measure of anti-partisan versus pro-partisan feeling. Among my friends in a variety of venues, there is still a plurality of pro-partisan responses. The sample size is small, though, so I don't know how it maps into the general populace.
Point well taken about including a more explicitly multi-partisan/non-partisan option. I should include that wording with the option to write-in an Independent because it shows no preference for any party, including third-party, while still accepting the choices appearing on the ballot as the only alternatives.

A different kind of Presidential poll
I think this poll would appeal to many in Britain at the moment.

Number 3 for me. Party loyalty. I have been told that I am too much of a rule follower. Maybe so. It serves me well. I learned to vote my conscience. Whatever is decided, to go with it, unless I am adversely affected directly. This is why, with the current President I know there is nothing I can do directly to change, so I make the best of my life.
