I know what you mean by preying on your grief, at my father's funnel while the whole family was at the grave side, before they even lowered him into the ground, as I was consoling my mother just after the prayer. The cemetery salesman came over to see if we had given any thought as to where we might buy the headstone, as they had a short time deal going on right now on marble...True story.

Those "salesmen" in suits are scary looking around these parts!

I avoid them, lol. Hey, this is great writing, Amanda - humorous and informing - I didn't know about that little trick...:) And the ending was very touching.

I have always believed it to be important to prepare for one's death, it can save the survivors a lot of headache! sam

WEll Amanda I bought a plot years ago and treated my brother to one. If I knew where it was I would put some flowers on it. You see it was an excellent deal I could probably sell it for fifty times what I paid. It is a bit near to a large area bought by the gypsies, but they have lots of decorations it is cheerful.
