I will confess, I've never been a 'Treckie'. So why do I feel vaguely guilty about that? Especially since I think Sci Fi is science's ill-behaved stepchild? Dunno, must be the press of some cultural imperative weighing on my soul...

I am not a huge Sci Fi fan

but who doesn't have a story or a memory of Star Trek?  Even I would come to love the movies and ache to see Spock embrace the human part of himself and of course we all wanted Captain Kirk to finally find the one true love that was actually a human.

To tell you the truth, I kind of like split infinitives.  You've probably noticed them often in my posts.  When I like something, I do it whether it's proper or not.  LOL

Back in the days of Captain Kirk, I saw an awful lot of Star Trek because, when it was new I was still married and my hubby wouldn't miss it for anything.  If I wanted to spend time with hubby in the evenings, we would be cuddling on the couch in front of that kind of program.

Well Pat I cannot tell what a split infinitive is or ending a sentence with a preposition. I suppose today the kids have space games that knock all the old theories back a few . Oh I can't spell that word.

I didn't know he was Canadian! No doubt he's said so

and it whooshed right past my ears without sinking in. Thanks for the update, Wiley!

Actually one of those Starship guys was a Canuck, Shatner? That's where the boldly go came from. LOL

By watching Star Trek a couple of times, rare for me who is not a TV watcher, I turned my son onto the program. He was watching anything to do with Star Tek after that! I think it's great that it was such a huge success!! Gotta say - like it much better than any of the 2 to 3 minute glimpses I ever caught of the reality shows they have on now! Good post!
