The Mormons are taking a hit here! I live among them and I have my thoughts too and I might add they are not all that promising! I have also attended a Stake in a small town when I was a first year teacher, again not impressed with them! And before the Salt Lake Temple closed I went there too! It is a very ornate structure built on money as only the Mormon can make! They take care of themselves first and would not hesitate to stick to anyone who is not of there faith, er cult! And long story short, 2 Mormon workers lied and dressed down, way down, far below what is acceptable in the trade, but a ploy nonetheless and they lied repeatedly under oath! Finally I cannot accept Joseph Smith as having as much credence as he has because as a Christian, which means a follower of Christ, Jesus is everything to me and no mortal has any right to being given the reverence that Smith gets as a human in that faith, er cult! Just my humble thoughts from my observations! Now, I know some wonderful Mormon and I adore them to no end but it is another story, too! So, I am not surprised that Romney is having the difficulty that he had faced! Happy New Year! sam

Re: Re: Sad so many are religion-centric...

Maybe so, maybe not so much so but at this point in our nationhood, that is irrelevant. Religious freedom is not something that the majority of citizens wish to weaken or change, even mainstream Christians. I think Romney will win the R. nomination and could be a serious contender for the presidency. If he loses to Obama, it won't be because he is Mormon.

I am curious to see how religion is going to impact this election.

Re: Sad so many are religion-centric...

While religious freedom is a Right, the U.S. was founded by Christians.

Sad so many are religion-centric...

U.S. was founded on religious freedom, not theocratic bias.
